Child Abuse Awareness Walk

April is Child Abuse Prevention month. My Place Child Care & School Age Center is putting together our annual Child Abuse Awareness walk in April. We will be starting our walk at the Canal Market in Downtown Newark. From The Canal Market, we will move to the square. We will have a DJ, Community Organizations, a food vendor and more this year. The goal of the event is to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect, and to help prevent children from situations of abuse or neglect through community awareness and action. We are inviting community organizations, to the walk & to set up tables to share community resource information, as well as organizations and individuals & families to join us for the walk to raise awareness for such an important cause. This will be a community & family event, with activities for all ages including the walk itself.
