Denison University’s Asia Film Festival presents screenings of five films for the community to enjoy.
A screening of “Ghost in the Shell.” “Ghost in the Shell” tells the story of Major Kusanagi, a cyborg government agent on the hunt for a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master. Celebrated for both its philosophical depth and stunning visuals, this cyberpunk anime film (based on a manga series) explores the blurring boundary between humanity and technology in a future world where human consciousnesses (ghosts”) can be implanted into cybernetic bodies (“shells*). Followed by a Q&A with Michael Tangeman.
