DESCRIPTION:Denison’s Jazz Guitar Festival celebrates its 30th anniversar
 y with a Thursday night concert featuring festival creator Tom Carroll and
  guitarist William Flynn\, followed by a Friday night performance by headl
 iner Stanley Jordan. \n\nThursday evening’s concert will take place in B
 urke Recital Hall and is free and open to the public\; no tickets are requ
 ired. Friday night’s concert will take place in Sharon Martin Hall and i
 s also free and open to the public\, but tickets are required. \n\nBoth co
 ncerts will take place at 8 p.m. In addition\, Jordan will lead a mastercl
 ass on Friday at 3 p.m. in the Eisner Center. This class does not require 
 registration and is free and open to the public. \n\nCarroll\, retired gui
 tar instructor and coordinator of jazz studies at Denison\, created the fe
 stival in 1996 to showcase and promote the virtuosity of jazz guitar. He c
 ontinues to perform around central Ohio. Flynn is a Midwest-based jazz gui
 tarist\, composer\, and educator. He teaches jazz studies at Wichita State
  University and performs regularly with his own projects and collegiate an
 d high school jazz ensembles. His latest album\, “Seaside\,” was relea
