The Local Heroes Lunch, hosted by the Licking County Board of Realtors, is a free community appreciation event dedicated to honoring the everyday heroes who serve and strengthen our community. Taking place on Wednesday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Canal Market District Pavilion in Downtown Newark, the event celebrates nurses, firefighters, EMS personnel, police officers, teachers, and veterans. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch featuring pulled pork from City BBQ, macaroni and cheese from The Stockyard, live entertainment by Shawna’s Shining Stars, inspiring remarks from Mayor Johns and Rob Montagnese, President and CEO of Licking Memorial Hospital, and the opportunity to participate in a special giveaway. Registration is encouraged to help organizers prepare for this free community thank-you event.
